Its coming to that stage of the year where the invites are flooding in, preparations begin, the excitement of attending a wedding commences. For anyone these days a wedding is always a big affair whether you are the bride, friend or guest attending every element involves you. From the likes of the ladies sangeet to the pre-party celebration and actually down to the ceremony itself, someway or another you will be involved. The worst thing for anyone is getting caught on camera in a predicament that clearly shouldn't have been captured in but who is to blame? Us for not being prepared or Mr Photographer Man who is just doing his job. Therefore here are my Top Tips in Surviving an Asian Wedding:
1. Ladies always book a trial with your Make Up artist at least 4-5 months in advance of the event and discuss all your requirements so that both parties are aware of the necessities for your desired look. It may sound strange 4-5 months but be prepared that all the highly acclaimed makeup artists get booked very quickly in peak season.
2. Gents, Check with whichever side you are representing their chosen colour scheme.
3. Always have a back up outfit on standby as we know that the British weather is not always the best even in Summer.
4. Food: Now we all know Asians are most likely some of biggest foodies around but the worst thing you could do at a wedding is (i) Over fill your plate that something falls off or even worst you drop it (ii) Buffets, rushing and pushing in queues for the food, take it easy no doubtably there will be a lot of food left that everyone could easily go for seconds.
5. Drink within your boundaries!
